Hurrah! New Stamp Release!

Third Coast Rubber Stamps has revealed the new release stamps, which includes lots of Steampunk as well as some other great stuff! Best of all, the new release stamps are 20% off through June 10th! Click here to be whisked away to check it out for yourself!

Meet Polly (WT-004-M), found on page 41, of Third Coast Rubber Stamps' Spring 2012 release.

Polly was colored with Copic markers, accented with Spica Glitter Pen,"fussy cut", and set aside.

I used Victorian Violet Distress ink to randomly stamp the Solid Single Gear Small (CO-276-EE, from page 15, onto ledger paper from My Mind's Eye's So Sophie: Graceful 6x6 paper. Then the sentiment, Steampunk Grunge (WS-185-D), which can be found on page 18 was stamped over the gears and the top part of the word was "fussy cut". The ledger paper was then layered onto violet patterned paper from the same pad.

Distress Ink was sponged through The Crafters Workshop Time Travel stencil and onto the layered paper. Polly was positioned atop "Steampunk" and I called it done.

Thanks for visiting today, but be sure to come back often to see what the other Coterie Ladies have to inspire you!

We will be closed June 25th - August 5th

Here is a card I made today.
Stamp used: BM-004-L and coloured with copics and glazed the frog.

FLY!

Yep. It's another card using my beloved Grand Madison Window die from Poppy Stamps/Memory Box. This time I used Third Coast's Blossoming Tree (BD-035-P) from p. 14 of the Spring '07 supplement and Kitty Angel (AP-172-D) from page 24 of the Summer '05 supplement. Both the tree and the cat were colored with Copic markers, masked with Winsor & Newton Liquid Mask, and the background sky was airbrushed over scallop packaging material. The mask was peeled off and the cat's wings were painted with Winsor & Newton Iridescent Medium to make 'em sparkle. BTW, I discovered that E02, E01, and E00 work remarkably well for marmalade cats.

Spring Ivy

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the spring weather! I know I am. Here is my card I created with Third Coast's Hedera (VW-020-M) After weaving my green velvet ribbon through the slits I cut in the card (with an exacto knife. I should really get a tool for that huh?) I added some leafy charms along the bottom. Glitter paper is from Doodlebug Designs.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Michelle

Supplies: Stamps, Third Coast, Paper - Doodlebug, Velvet Ribbon, Brads, Leaf Charms.

Playful kitten card

Made this card using the Playful Kitten set 3 (CH-750-P) from Third Coast Art Stamps. I stamped all five images and then watercoloured them. Drew the central square and stamped the Penny Black sentiment. Had these for ages and it's the first time I used them. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Country scene

All the stamps used are Third Coast except the sentiment. Third Coast Stamps: Stony path (FA-392-c), Clouds and Hills (FA-235-H), Multi-sign post (CH-633-G), Grass in snow(AP-464-cc) and Flying black birds small (CM-265-B). The sentiment is by Tim Holtz.
The scene was coloured with watercolours and graphite pencil. It's my first attempt at creating a scene with so many stamps and I know it's not perfect but I am please with the finished card. Have a lovely day.

Spring!

It's been wonderfully warm in the NY Metro area and the trees are all abloom. Beauty pervades.

I've been giving my new Poppy Stamps' Grand Madison Window die some play time and wanted to create a spring scene as seen through a window.

Here it is!

Close up:

Third Coast's Blossoming Tree (BD-035-P) from p. 14 of the Spring '07 supplement, was just perfect for this as it had a flowering tree, a bunny, and a squirrel! The stamp was inked with Memento ink using a brayer because it's too big to ink with just the inkpad! I had to use my biggest acrylic block also!!! The image (tree, bunny, squirrel) were colored with Copic markers. The grass and sky were colored with Copics using the dotted background technique. I added a touch of Glaze pens for the critters' eyes and added some white flock for the bunny's tail! The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sultry 6x6 pad.

Thanks for visiting!
